Are you able to play outdoor events?

Yes, Andrea is able to play outdoor events, but with certain requirements.  The harp needs a flat, dry surface on which to stand, preferably with a covering (gazebo, tent, etc.).  Generally, the harp takes up an area about the size of 4’ X4’.  At the first sign of inclement weather (ex. rain, extreme heat, extreme cold), Andrea will have to move her harp indoors for the safety and protection of her instrument.  Due to the delicate nature of her instrument, Andrea is unable to play outdoor events if the temperature is below 50ºF.

How do you transport your harp?

With great care!  Andrea has her own “harp car” and is fully self-sufficient when transporting her instrument.  She also uses a harp cart/dolly to wheel around her instrument.

How long have you been playing?

Starting with violin lessons taught by my mom, I’ve been playing music since I was 3 years old.  At age 5, I began piano and at age 7 I added the viola.  I was lucky enough to have grown up in a musical family.  Whenever I visited my parents at their orchestra, I sat behind the harp during their rehearsals and I was instantly awestruck.  I started the harp at age 10 and haven’t looked back since!

Can you play with other instrumentalists?

Yes!  Andrea loves playing chamber music!  If you have a friend or family member that wants to be a part of your event, Andrea is happy to work with them given adequate notice.  If you are looking for a specific musical combination (harp with violin, voice, cello, flute, etc.), Andrea is happy to provide another musician for your events for an additional fee.

Can you play a specific piece for my event?

Do not be alarmed if you do not see your specific piece on the repertoire page.  Andrea’s repertoire list is constantly growing and changing.  If you have a musical selection in mind, please contact Andrea to see if it can be played on harp.  All this may require is to supply Andrea with the piano or harp sheet music!  Andrea can easily make an arrangement of your musical selection if given advanced notice.
